A Brand New Iris Class for Me: Arilbred Iris

During our trip to Mid-America, I saw an Arilbred Iris blooming for the first time.  My friend, David, recognized as such, though I thought it was an older TB or BB.  The falls are unruffled, rounded and most have a distinctive darker spot under the beard.

Arils are known to be hard to grow, but when crossed with other bearded iris they aren't so difficult or so I am told. When I received the M-A order I set my eye on one aril and so "Eyes on You" was to join the irises in my garden.
