Great Blooms From My Garden

This is not a year for a crowded garden, but there are some gems popping up!

From the Bluegrass Iris sale last year, David forwarded Frisky Frolic.  One healthy IB rhizome for Mid-America last year produced three scopes and this electric display!

This shot of Dykes medal winner, Golden Panther, softens the the bright rust colors with backlight. It would not be a great catalog picture, but I love the way it emphasizes the cultivar's excellent form.

 From Mid-America comes this carnival of color.  Conjuring Cat presented itself this morning.

Irises About to Bloom!

Looks like tomorrow will be the day!  I wish I knew the name of the cultivar. It's one of the front garden that did not get the full treatment.  They didn't get hit by the borers.  Nothing else is as close to blooming and the it looks like it is going to be pretty spectacular.

I am counting on someone to recognize this one.

Other cultivars in this garden are doing very well.

Three new rhizomes that are showing scape development are exciting.  Black 2011 introductions, Frontline and Blushing are both going to bloom.  Frisky Frolic (Black, 2008) is an IB that came via David Cupps looks like it will bloom as well!
